One of the most precious gems on the West Coast, Seattle is known as the "Emerald City" beacuse of the rich, greenery that surrounds the city.
 
There are some cities where it feels like you will never escape the concrete jungle. Seattle is not one of those cities. Downtown Seattle overlooks the Puget Sound; to the east are mountains, rivers, and lakes, oh my! If you need a moment of peace and quiet, there are plenty of options, even within minutes of a resident's door.
